We are delighted to share some heartening news from the Chotanagpur Kalyan Niketan Community! On June 12th, our dedicated social workers came together to celebrate the World’s Day Against Child Labour, aiming to raise awareness and combat this global issue.
In an effort to create a brighter future for children, our passionate community activists embarked on a mission to spread awareness throughout the surrounding villages. The event witnessed an outpouring of support from both locals and volunteers, who shared their time and resources to contribute to this noble cause.
Throughout the day, the community social workers organized various activities to engage with families and children, emphasizing the importance of education, skill development, and a safe environment for every child. Informative workshops were conducted to educate parents about the detrimental effects of child labour on a child’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
As part of the awareness campaign, Chotanagpur Kalyan Niketan Community distributed informative pamphlets and booklets containing relevant information about child labour laws, alternative educational opportunities, and helpline numbers for reporting cases of child labour. These materials were shared with local schools, community centers, and organizations, ensuring that the message reached as many people as possible.
