Ensuring Access and Delivery of Social Welfare Schemes and Entitlements to All Eligible and Vulnerable Citizens

Simdega, a tribal-majority district in Jharkhand, continues to face significant exclusion from government welfare schemes due to lack of awareness, complex processes, digital illiteracy, and systemic gaps. Scheduled Tribes, women, elderly, and marginalized families remain disproportionately affected.

Chotanagpur Kalyan Niketan (CKN) launched this initiative to bridge the entitlement gap and strengthen the grassroots ecosystem of Gram Sabha, PRI institutions, and community-based leaders.

🎯 Goal

To ensure that all eligible and vulnerable households in targeted panchayats are aware of, and successfully linked to, their rightful social security schemes and government entitlements.

🧭 Strategy

  • Embed accountability within Gram Sabha & PRI systems
  • Train a local team of youth and women volunteers
  • Regular coordination with line departments (Block office, Social Welfare, Food Supply, etc.)
  • Organize Social Security Camps to offer on-the-spot services
  • Ensure documentation through photos, registers, and case studies
